About   |  I’ve been interested in photography for as long as I can remember and have many fond memories as a youngster spent out with my Dad, a keen amateur photographer, peering into his kit bag trying desperately to understand what he was telling me about f-numbers and shutter speeds. His interest in the subject came from his school friend and my Godfather, Brian Ward who, as a professional photographed some of the most iconic album covers of all time; David Bowie’s Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust.
Incidentally, Dad’s lost contact with Brian in recent years so if anyone happens to know where he is and what he’s up to these days please do contact me.

Following on in the world of music photography I’m in the, some would say, enviable position of working for a live music agency shooting live gigs for magazines and newspapers. It’s possibly one of the most frustrating areas of photography as you never quite know what you’re going to get when the lights go down and the artist takes to the stage. More often than not you get to shoot three songs in semi-darkness with no flash whilst dodging burly security guards and other photographers’ elbows. But it is great, I love it. 

Aside from gigs I like to photograph whatever takes my fancy really, although I tend enjoy the details of subjects rather than vast sweeping landscapes. I’ve often been asked if I sell prints of my pictures and it is something I’m going to add into the site soon.
